Photoshoots and interviews – Reflection

Over this last week I have completed my two photoshoots and have began the editing process on the final images I will be using. I feel as though these images have come out well and I would imagine that I have enough to work with along with the multimedia content I will be uploading alongside my writing.

I have found that I needed to use an editorial style of photography for some images as after feedback it became clear that the same style of image for every photo would have become repetitive and boring.

I have decided to include some landscape shots of St Bees one of the beaches I photographed plastic pollution on, this is to compare the natural beauty of our coasts from afar to the close-up destruction shown by the plastic that we see.

I have also sent out interview requests to several people including beach clean organisers, marine charity representatives, Leeds councilors and a marine biologist from the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment.

I am hoping that these interviews will be concluded by the end of this week so I can focus on writing my article.
